The thyroid, a small gland in your neck, works like a thermostat to regulate your metabolism. When it's operating normally, your body's functions hum along at a comfortable level. However, if it's cranked up too high (hyperthyroidism) or turned down too low (hypothyroidism), the whole body revs up or slows down, often with serious consequences. Thyroid problems are extremely common, easily treated, and often misunderstood. Take this quiz to see how much you know about your thyroid.
