Don't Forfeit Hard-Earned Money! With the end of the year fast approaching, your Benefits Department would like to remind you to check your 2007 Health Care and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account (FSA) balances, and make plans to spend any remaining 2007 dollars on eligible expenses. 2007 FSA expenses must be incurred by December 31, 2007. For a complete list of 2007 eligible health care and dependent care expenses, click here. Please note that while expenses must be incurred by December 31, 2007, you will have until March 31, 2008 to submit your claims.

Flexible Spending AccountsFlexible Spending Accounts help you get more mileage out of your dollar. They offer advantages to your wallet because they increase your spendable income. In fact, these Plans offer a cost-effective way to pay for such items as daycare expenses, deductibles, co-payments, co-insurance, eyeglasses, contact lenses, orthodontics, lasik vision correction, and other health-related expenses which are not covered by your insurance plans. For more information about Flexible Spending Accounts, please visit the 2007 Benefits Guide.

Supplemental BenefitsLiving for today is easier than planning for the future. Eventually, though, most people realize they need to make planning for their future a priority. That is why Caremark offers supplemental benefits such as the AFLAC plans, supplemental and dependent life insurance, disability insurance, and more. These voluntary benefit plans not only help you plan for your future, they also provide some protection from the unexpected. To learn more about the supplemental benefits Caremark has to offer, click here.

AFLAC PlansAdministered by AFLAC, the Cancer Protector Plan, the Hospital Indemnity Plan, the Personal Accident Indemnity Plan, and the Personal Recovery Plus Plan are supplemental medical plans, offered to all benefit eligible Caremark employees. These plans are designed to offset medical expenses related to cancer treatments, hospital stays, accidents, and recovery from any other serious health conditions. While your medical insurance will pay a portion of your medical expenses related to these incidents, there are other expenses such as deductibles, coinsurance, copays, and time off work, etc., to consider.

Advantages of the AFLAC Plans
There are many advantages to enrolling in theAFLAC Plans. For instance: the rates are employer-group discounted by 40%; the policies are portable; once enrolled, the premiums stay the same even if you leave the Company; the premiums are pre-tax; and benefits are paid directly to you, regardless of what your medical insurer pays. To learn more about these plans, please visit the 2007 Benefits Guide.

Long Term Care InsuranceOffered through CNA, the Long Term Care coverage provided by this group policy is similar to what you could buy in an individual policy from an agent or broker. Committed to providing the most responsive and up-to-date coverage possible, CNA offers comprehensive, flexible benefits at an affordable price. LTC differs from traditional medical care, in that it offers custodial services to individuals who have lost the ability to care for themselves. The Long Term Care benefit gives you and your extended family an opportunity to plan for all stages of your life. Benefits range from simple help with meal preparation to assistance with bathing or dressing, all the way to 24-hour monitored care. In essence, Long Term Care helps to compensate for limitations in an individual’s ability to function independently. For more information, please visit the 2007 Benefits Guide.
